It's been a long time since people thought of math as Platonic. The current formalism movement treats math as constructs, I think that the lay understanding of this philosophy is dismissive of the real predictive power that abstractions hold. No, there is not an alternate “math dimension” where the cogs of the universe grind on eternally, but mathematicians have still formed this math to be logically consistent, which although provably incomplete, is still massively useful. So, the question “How has mathematical modeling linked seemingly disparate sciences?” seems simple. Math and the world are, **for the most part**, isomorphic. The math was just more direct. Ah! Once again the secrets of the universe FOILED by sweet sweet abstraction.

your education is not important. america requires the uneducated. The class divide is neccissary for working class motivation. Must allow for enough upward mobility though, to staunch risks of revolt. Of which American individualist ideology is particulartly prone to.
