Ill try to let this be a ongoing journal of my attempts to simulate a person in silico.
The more important question to be asking I would guess is why the fuck you would even want to do this in the first place, but that one is a lot harder to answer, so Im going to let it sit untill after I go over how. The good news is untill I can put an electrode on every single one of your neurons, its not going to happen.
First, what do you simulate? What do you measure about a human, inorder to understand them? We understand eachother without the sensors that a computer has access too, because for the most part, we all work the same sort of way. It seems to me like humans in general are always seeking to understand, and be like another. Our greatest contentions with eachother revolve/resolve around this. A monkey walking away from the pack, the religion, the idealogy, is a mortal danger to the continouity of cooperative society. maybe an effective way to simulate this is to keep track of cognitive states. Emotions. Reactions. The Language we use. All in an attempt to understand, then homogenize the humans around us. There is probably some evolutionry selection for this behavior, but anyway, this is the way forward, to build a digital twin.
